OPD SERVICES

Following Clinical Services are being provided at our OPD .
Refraction services for estimation of refractive errors and dispensing of glasses and contact lenses
  1. Subjective refraction: Dry and cycloplegic refraction
  2. Autorefractometry: computerized estimation of power of glasses and contact lenses. (Fig-13, Fig-14 )
  3.  Keratometry for measurement of corneal curvature for dispensing spectacles and contact lenses. (Fig-15)
  4. Lensometry: for measurement of power of spectacles worn by patients and to check correct manufacture of spectacles according to prescribed power. (Fig-16)
  5. Pupillometry for ordering muliltfocal/progressive glasses. (Fig-17, Fig-18)
  6. A- scan Ultrasonography for axial length measurement.(Fig-19)
  7. Biometry for estimation of intraocular lens power after cataract surgery.
General eye examination for detection of eye diseases which includes
  1. Slit lamp examination along with Bimicroscopy with
  2. 3 Mirror and (Fig-20,Fig-21) 78 D lens
  3. Direct ophthalmoscopy
  4. Indirect ophthalmoscopy (Fig- 22)

  1. Schiotz indentation tonometry
  2. Goldman applanation tonometry (Fig-23)

  4. Electronic Tonography: for measurement of facility of outflow and detection of early cases of glaucoma.
  5. Water drinking test
  6. Diurnal variation estimation
  7. Estimation of sclera rigidity , C value(co-efficient of aqueous outflow) and Glaucoma Index
  8. Estimation of glaucomatous visual field loss by
  9. Computerized automated perimetry(With 2 glaucoma programs, 2 suprathreshold programs and full threshold programs for glaucomatous field defect detection and assessment of progress of the disease) (Fig- 25, Fig- 26)

  13. Ophthalmodynamometry for diagnosis and for assessing optic nerve perfusion during treatment of optic nerve diseases
  14. Amblyopia therapy for children with lazy eyes.
  15. Full and part time occlusion with patches and penalization therapy
  16. CAM vision stimulation (Fig- 29)
  17. Convergence exercises: with and without exercise cards
  18. Fusion exercises with or without fusion exercise cards
  19. Low vision clinic for detection, assessment and treatments for low vision patients with low vision aids.
Services available in the Minor OT and procedure room
  1. All types of minor surgeries of the eye are available within 15 minutes ( instrument preparation time)
  2. Syringing for detection of nasolacrimal drainage obstruction
  3. Examination of children under operating microscope and magnifying loupe.
  4. Ophthalmic dressing: patching and pad and bandage.
  5. Eye washing for chemical injuries and foreign bodies of the eyes.
